Another Portrait

ANOTHER PORTRAIT
Well, sure, I'm worth it.  There is this artist on Facebook who captures pet photos and does them in watercolors.  She saw the great photo Daddy Thom took of me and painted her interpretation of it.  I am pleased and quite proud.  I have been captured for posterity on film, in oils and in watercolors.
It's true - I am quite the handsome fellow!

PLAYING IN THE SEA.

One of my favorite outings is going to South Beach.  I can be off my leash and I can go as far as I want.  I always look back and check to see where Thom and David are - just to be on the safe side.  At the beach I can do almost anything I want to do within reason.  The are a few basic rules - like never to let my toys drift away in the water.  You see the water here is not very warm even in the summer.  Although I don't mind the cold,  I don't swim too far from shore.  Due to the chilling water temperature nobody else will retrieve my drifting toy squid.  I learned my lesson when I lost an orange one as it sailed away to Canada.  Oh well, some doggie in Canada probably found a new toy that day.

MORNING CONSTITUTIONALS.

Every morning I go for a very long walk with Daddy David.  Sometimes we are gone as long as an hour.  This is our special time together.  We go all over town.  We stop and chat with friends and neighbors.  Sometimes I see my dog friends, but I am not so good on a leash.  I kind of get excited and want to run and play chase.  But - I know that is only for the beach or the Dawg Park when everybody can run free.
Daddy Thom doesn't get up early, but by the time we return to the house.  I see the dining room blinds opened and raised and I know I will get to run off leash the rest of the way home.  Such freedom - and, when I get there I will get a cookie.  Man - this is the life!

ERRANDS.

I love to go anywhere, any time.  I especially love riding in the jeep.  This is the Jeep that my Daddy David bought for me.  And - don't I look good. There are many opportunities for rides every day - post office, grocery store, taking me to the beach, or taking me to the Dawg Park.
I especially like to go in the car with only one of my Daddies.  then I don't have to stay in the back and I get to ride shotgun.
I love the jeep in the summer with the top off and I get to go for rides with my doggie seat belt on.  Of course the escape is nice too because even in the winter, sometimes I get to have the sun roof open and I can stick my head out the top.  I look like an ornament and everybody notices.  I must admit, "I do look good!"

LAZY EVENING
Sometimes I just hang out around the house instead of going to the Dawg Park or the beach.  But - no matter where I am, I am included in all activities.  Here I am on the couch.  Yes, I am allowed on the couch.  You see that green cover?  That keeps my white dog hair off the couch and I can lounge about comfortable.  Right now I am about to settle down with Daddy David and watch "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy."  This is the life.  Oh, I get TV snacks too - gotta love this place!

SUMMER TIME, SUMMER TIME, SUMMER TIME.

Yes, it's summer time again and all the snow is gone.  I love the snow and the cold blowing wind, but - eh, enough is enough.  Now that it's summer I get to go to the beach or the Dawg Park everyday - sometimes I go to both the beach and the park in the same day.  My daddies are retired and they have all the time in the world to indulge me and I just love it.
Nothing is more fun than a free run at the beach.  I can go as far as I want and nobody gets upset.  Sometimes when I run up into the cliffs I do create a bit of anxiety, but I know just how much to push the bounds without causing trouble.
The nice thing is no one is concerned if I get sand in the car or make the seats wet.  When we go to the beach or to the park it's all about ME and I love it!
